Eliza Smith

Eliza joined the Equip Studio team in June of 2022 after three years as an elementary school teacher. She spent two years earning an Associate of Science degree from Spartanburg Methodist College where she played women’s softball (Roll Neers), followed by a Bachelor Arts in Elementary Education from Coastal Carolina University in 2019 (Go Chants).

Eliza’s prior experience as a teacher has prepared her well for her role at Equip. Her sharp attention to detail and organization tactics keep us all on track, while her infectious people skills make her an ideal “first impression” for visitors walking in the front door. Eliza keeps everybody in line by adding crucial support to our business development processes and handling administrative tasks so that project team members can focus on what they do best (teamwork makes the dream work).

Eliza and her husband, Wheeler, have been married since July of 2021. Both South Carolina natives with a background in college sports, the two find that anything and everything could turn competitive at any given moment. They live with their dog, Eden, in Laurens, SC where they spend free time searching for the best suspenseful movies on Netflix, only to realize that they’ve already watched them all.
