Greenville ARP Church

Greenville | SC

For the last 100 years, Greenville ARP Church in Greenville, SC has called this beautiful building their home. The congregation is, and always has been, multi-generational. Though a portion of their mission statement resolves around the idea of family, their campus did not have convenient space to meet with each other or to welcome children. It was clear the church was in need of facilities to support the new energy and growth happening within their congregation.

Equip Studio provided a church identity document that included a campus facility evaluation with prioritized facility needs. Included in our design solutions were recommendations to open up the narrow hallways for better flow, update signage and restrooms, add a new family lobby and entry, and add a new connector building that would provide additional classroom space for adults and children. In addition, we recommended a new common area that provides a central gathering space that could easily be transformed into overflow seating for the sanctuary. The final building design (including renovated areas) reflected and honored the church’s history, but also met the modern-day needs of the growing congregation.
